Prefer a bike to skis or a snowboard?
Things used to be so simple: Kids rode bikes, adults drove, and in winter everybody who didn't ski stayed indoors. Not anymore. On any given weekday at, say, Verdi Elementary School, the bike rack might hold two or three bicycles. Most students ride the bus or get dropped
