Kids get to try off-road biking

Newcomers to the sport of mountain biking will be treated to lessons, waived trail fees and the free use of mountain bikes on National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. A local event, which is sponsored by Point Pursuit off-road bike club, Point Area Single Track Association and the Wisconsin Off Road Series (WORS), will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Standing Rocks
